Hey there, so today I just ran some errands and did a little shopping. It was pretty hot and humid, so I opted for a sparce, comfortable look. So, in March, unfortunately my pretty little new england home burned down (a slight flaw in wooden houses). As a result, many people in my community gave us some clothes to wear before our insurance cheque came through and we could purchase some more. Anyway, I was rifling through bags and I found this fitted rolling stones graphic tee that someone must have given me. It looks like it may have come from target, and it was a generic fitted shape. So, I decided to revamp it, which basically means me going a little rambo with a pair of scissors. As a result, the shirt became a muscle tank, which I then wore with a black bandeau. I paired that with a pair of high waisted denim shorts from Abercrombie and my target sneakers and Bob's your uncle. I have a friend who is basically perfection in it's rawest nature & she just rocks the boyish graphic tees and sneakers. Though not my usual cup of tea, this look was inspired by her and, I have to say, was insanely comfortable.

Today, to be perfectly honest, I did nothing. I had practice so I basically lounged until it was time to get off my butt and get ready for my 5 p.m. practice. I know, relatively unimpressive yet expected from someone who judges inanimate items from the comfort and confines of their sweats. Anyway, I did, however, squeeze in a little outfit that I would of worn if I was going anywhere other than a rank gymnasium. I really like this outfit because it manages to look effortless, yet full of effort all at the same time. I love mixing the whole 'denim look' with florals for that kind of preppy girl-next-door vibe. I started with my chambray denim shirt from American Eagle, which is the perfect denim shirt from warmer weather because I love its looseness and its lightness. I then paired it with a skirt I got from Jack Wills last year (I'll try to find the same if not similar on the interweb), and topped it off with nothing less than a bit o' brown leather. I wore my Lucky Brand flats and Rowallan satchel, also known as the adoration and center of my entire existence.

*I adore these shoes. They're super comfortable and were extremely easy to wear in. I usually have problems with flats staying on because I have extremely narrow heel. However, with these the elasticated back keeps them on without causing irritation*

* I recently splurged on this satchel at a leather store and I adore it. It's so soft that it's almost like a suede, as well as having a vintage look that would be difficult to top. It also has the ability to fit a lot of my imperative junk.*

I recently went into the Jack Wills store in Oxford and was struck by this cute maroon, dotted playsuit prepped for fall. Unable to resist my urges, I purchased it along with some trousers and a jumpsuit (prep addict, what can I say). I was super happy when I discovered it fit like a glove. It's made out of a viscose chiffon, giving it a more dressy feel. The tie on the open upper back gives it a slightly more flirty feel without going to far and imposing on the classic style. It would look perfect paired with tights and a jacket or just by itself. Due to the fall color palette, you probably won't find me flaunting this for a couple more months, but it will definitely be a fall favorite.

I recently took a long-lusted for dive and visited the beautiful city of Paris. I visited for a minimal two days and one night and conducted a brief, but amazing, whistlestop tour. It was hot and sunny my whole stay and the Paris fashions were running rampant. The beautiful ancients buildings and the gorgeous people decked out in maxi skirts and boho hats proved to be everything I ever dreamed Paris to be. The first day, I took the Eurostar from London to Paris. For those who are unfamiliar, the Eurostar is a train that runs under the ocean to transport people from one European country to the next. The train was fast and relatively painless (apart from a few minor ear-popping experiences) and I would definitely recommend it. Anyway, enough of that and onto the fashion aspect.

Day 1: Due to the travel I had to undergo on the first day, I required something relatively comfortable yet effortlessly chic in order to keep up with the fabulous Parisians. So, the night before I opted for a great black jumpsuit which I snagged from River Island and my beloved Urban Outfitters Paisley Cardigan. The Boho vibe was incredibly comfortable, yet still kept up with the fashion demands of the city. My feet found there way into some great sandals I got from Target (a great find). If you aren't great with flat shoes, there's a lot of walking involved so I would go with some incredibly styled sneakers (If you find yourself stuck on that, send me a question). I wore a sock bun, which I knew was a safe bet because my hair would never survive the train with my transportation sleep record (partnered with the fact I had to wake up at 4:30). This proved itself to be an incredibly good idea due to the heat and humidity of the day. I went with minimal makeup knowing it would fall of my face anyway through the walking and travel. My target sunglasses were tactfully worn to hide any potentially dark circles or tired, bloodshot eyes.

Day 2: The second day in Paris was slightly chillier than the first. After seeing the influx of maxi skirts I know longer had doubts about packing my own. I was thrilled when I found this wine-colored, salmon-y maxi skirt in New Look, and even more thrilled when I tried it on and it fit. Being 5 ft 7, I'm not necessarily overly tall, but I have incredibly long and lanky legs- getting a maxi skirt and/or dress that is long enough to look acceptable was proving to be quite difficult. I paired the skirt with a similarly colored printed crop tank top and a army green utility jacket (both also from New Look). I wore the same shoes as different ones would not fit in my classic tourist backpack.
